7 Best Family All-Inclusive Resorts in the Bahamas (Kids Will LOVE These!)

Last updated on

I absolutely love going to the Bahamas. My husband and I went there on our honeymoon and immediately fell in love with the crystal-clear water, white-sand beaches and friendly people. Since then, we have returned a number of times. Now we travel with our kids in tow, so we love staying in one of the family all inclusive resorts in Bahamas.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me about the all-inclusive family resorts in the Bahamas since there aren’t many options that aren’t strictly adults-only. However, there are some good options for family all inclusive resorts in Bahamas–just not a ton. Here’s a list of my favorite, along with what I like about each one. And if you’re open to options that aren’t all-inclusive, check out these awesome family resorts in Nassau.

Best Time to Visit the Bahamas All Inclusive Family Resorts

A family taking a picture at one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas

The best time to visit the Bahamas is December through April for ideal weather, though this is also peak pricing. The Bahamas is a popular destination for families to escape the cold due to its short flights from the East Coast, warm weather, and clear waters.

For fewer crowds and better deals, families should consider visiting during the shoulder seasons:

  • Late April–June
  • Early November–mid December

Hurricane season runs from June through November, but many families still travel during this time with flexible plans.

What are the best all-inclusive family resorts in the Bahamas?

The best all-inclusive family resorts in the Bahamas include:

  • Club Med Columbus Isle (best for teens + activities)
  • Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau (family-friendly + optional all-inclusive)
  • Small Hope Bay Lodge (laid-back, nature-focused)
  • Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach (budget-friendly option)

While the Bahamas has fewer all-inclusive resorts than destinations like Mexico, there are still great family-friendly options that include meals, activities, and kids programming.

Important: Most Bahamas Resorts Are NOT All-Inclusive

One thing that surprises many families is that the Bahamas has fewer true all-inclusive resorts compared to places like Cancun or Punta Cana. That’s why choosing the right resort matters—if you want predictable pricing, look specifically for resorts that bundle meals, drinks, and activities into one price.

Popular family resorts like Atlantis and Baha Mar are not all-inclusive, meaning you’ll pay separately for food, activities, and extras.

Therefore, the Atlantis isn’t on this list. However, we have been to the Atlantis (with and without kids) and have loved it. I share plenty of other information about the Atlantis in other posts, including a comparison of the various Atlantis hotel options and an overview of our stay at the Atlantis. You can add on dining plans before you go, making it a semi all-inclusive experience, and I go over how to do that in my post as well.

The Baha Mar is another family resort that isn’t an all-inclusive, but is a wonderful option for families. Like the Atlantis, it has a waterpark and casino, and tons to do on the property. But it does not have an all-inclusive dining option.

Who Should Book an All-Inclusive Resort in the Bahamas?

All-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas are perfect for guests seeking an easy, stress-free escape from daily routines. These resorts offer relaxation through included meals, activities, and amenities, allowing families to unwind and enjoy their time together. Thanks for reading my post. My name is Jaime and I am a mom to three busy children. When we're not at the soccer and football fields, we try to get away as often as possible. I'm a teacher and my husband is a firefighter, so we mostly get away for long weekends or over the school breaks. I hope to inspire busy families to take time to recoup and relax while making memories on camping trips or cruise ships, or at the fancy resort pool--we love it all!
