Possible Limitations

Banff gets crowded. And thanks to social media, it gets more and more crowded every year when it comes to summer mountain vacations. The Lake Louise area alone saw roughly 729,000 visits in July and 786,000 in August of 2025. Arriving early at popular trailheads is essential. Costs can also run high due to the Canadian exchange rate and peak-season demand.

Possible Limitations

Summer crowds and traffic around the lake, especially on weekends, can be frustrating. Parking at popular beach and trail areas fills up early.
