About Me – Family Adventures Blog
My name is Jaime and I kinda just stumbled into this whole blog thing. I have always been obsessed with travel, and I often have my next trip planned before I take my current trip. I love having something to look forward to, and I nerd out on all the research of activities–what we’re going to do, where’s the nearest Starbucks, and more importantly, where we’re going to eat. Travel is always more fun with friends, so I try to entice as many people as possible to join in on the fun, although sometimes quality family time is really nice as well.
I am a teacher and I am married to a firefighter, so we can often get away during the school break times — Thanksgiving Break, Spring Break and definitely Summer Break. We love to camp (both tent or RV camping), but also love staying in hotels and Airbnbs. We leave next week for a Disney Cruise, and I am already planning a summer trip for next year to Montana. See? I just can’t stop myself.
Even though I love travel, it’s hard because I’m a real person with real bills and real kids that complain about all the things. So I have to keep in mind both kid-friendly and budget-friendly aspects of our travels. Hopefully all the research I’ve done will help make traveling with your own families easier on you. I’ll share tips of what went well and what I would do differently if given the chance, as well as share ideas of awesome family getaways.
People often message me asking for travel tips or to share the Airbnb links for places I’ve stayed. Apparently people don’t all love the research part as much as I do. So here I am–combining my passion for travel with my passion for writing, and putting it all out there for you.
