1. Best Hotel Pools in Palm Springs: Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa

The hotel that always comes to my mind first when thinking about the best hotel pools in Palm Springs is the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. It checks all the boxes. Lazy river? Yep. Water slides? Yep–two 100-ft waterslides. Poolside movies? Yep. Poolside drinks? Yep. Plus, a grill for meals and snacks. For guests seeking extra comfort, private cabanas are available poolside, offering shaded seating and added amenities.
On top of all that, they have a sand-bottom pool, a cliff-side hot tub and a splashpad area for the littles. The expansive pool area is well-equipped with loungers, shade options, and plenty of space for relaxation. When we’ve stayed there, guests—including our kids—have been able to participate in fun poolside competitions, like cannonball contests, as well. Of the few waterpark hotels in the Palm Springs area, this one is my personal favorite.
2. Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Spa

This resort recently underwent a major pool renovation that has truly made it a top contender on the list of hotels with the best pools in Palm Springs. It now features a pair of 3-story high dueling water slides that are said to be the highest in the desert. It has a 450-ft lazy river, and a splash pad full of activities for the littles.
With poolside movies, s’mores and many activities for the kids, you can relax with a cold beverage from the poolside bar while the kids are entertained. The pool area is lined with umbrellas providing plenty of shade, and guests can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains while lounging by the water. The resort also features a fitness center, so you can keep up with your wellness routine during your stay. Plus, you can use your World of Hyatt points to book free nights here.

3. Marriott Shadow Ridge II Enclaves

Minus a lazy river, the Marriott Shadow Ridge II Enclaves resort checks most of the criteria for the best hotel pools in Palm Springs. Check out my full review of the Marriott Shadow Ridge resort here.
When you stay at the Enclaves, you’ll have access to multiple pools. One of them is zero-entry, perfect for your smallest kids. And another of the pools has a waterslide. The zero-entry pool is the one that will be closest to you in the Enclaves section of the resort. This pool has a giant TV behind it, featuring sports during the day and poolside movies when it gets dark. And there are bars to meet your food and drink needs at the pool.
Poolside activities might feature water-balloon toss competitions for the kids, along with popsicle rewards. In addition to the pools, the resort offers outdoor entertainment like lawn games for the whole family to enjoy. For evening relaxation, there’s also a cozy fire pit area, perfect for winding down after a day in the sun.

If you want to be in the heart of the action, downtown Palm Springs offers some of the best hotel pools just steps from the city’s most popular attractions. Staying in the city center means you’re never far from the buzz of Palm Canyon Drive. You can grab bites at trendy restaurants, sip coffee at local cafes, or browse unique shops—all within walking distance of your hotel.
Many downtown hotels feature stunning swimming pools surrounded by lush gardens and shaded cabanas, creating a relaxing oasis right in the middle of the city. Day Pass Options
You don’t have to be an overnight guest to enjoy some of the best hotel pools in Palm Springs. Many popular hotels now offer day passes. This gives families and visitors access to their luxurious pool areas, hot tubs, and resort amenities for a single day. With a day pass, you can relax on comfortable lounge chairs, splash in the pool, and even enjoy perks like private cabanas, poolside food and drink service, and access to fitness centers or spa facilities such as eucalyptus steam rooms or halotherapy salt caves.
This is a fantastic option for those on a short stay, locals looking for a mini getaway, or anyone wanting to beat the desert heat without booking a room. When we travel with friends, sometimes it’s cheaper (and more fun!) to all stay together in a house. But day passes allow us to still access the best hotel pools in Palm Springs. And, we get to try a variety of hotel pools all in one trip.
Be sure to check with the front desk or hotel website for availability and pricing, as day passes can be popular during peak season. You can also purchase through resortpass.com.
