Kauai is often called the Garden Isle, and once you see it, you’ll understand why. This Hawaiian island receives some of the highest rainfall on Earth, with Mount Waiʻaleʻale ranking among the wettest spots on the planet. All that rain feeds rivers and streams that tumble off ancient volcanic cliffs, carving valleys filled with breathtaking Kauai Hawaii waterfalls that range from towering 800-foot cascades to tiny red-earth trickles you can pull over and photograph from the road.
