What To Do When Camping: Fun Camping Activities
The other day, I had someone ask me what I like to do when camping. I didn’t know how to respond at first. There was so much I could say. Part of what I love about camping is there isn’t anything I really have to do. The days tend to be long, and the pace tends to be slow. And I love that. The list of what to do when camping will fluctuate depending on where you go, who you are with and what time of year it is. But I have compiled this list of some of my favorite camping activities. Lake Jennings Campground, San Diego
I’ve lived in San Diego all my life and somehow had never been to the Lake Jennings campground prior to this previous weekend. Ideally when we go camping, we love to explore new territory and venture a little bit further from home. However, there is definitely something to be said about the ease of camping 20 mins from home, especially when trying to coordinate with a large group of campers, which we were. Here’s a guide to making it fun,…

Best Campfire Games for Adults: Fun and Laughter Under the Stars A campfire isn’t just a place to keep warm or roast marshmallows—it’s also the perfect setting for laughter, connection, and a little friendly competition. Whether you’re camping with friends or family, adding games to your evening campfire routine can elevate the experience. I’ve compiled a list of campfire games for adults and families to enjoy. Most of these campfire games are great for all ages, but some can be altered a bit for more adult-humor, depending on what you’re going for. While this post specifically focuses on campfire games for adults, you can also check out my other posts…

California Camping Lakes
Hands down one of my favorite things to do is go lake camping each summer. A beautiful mountain setting and a lake that you can swim in makes it even better. I know that California is known for its beautiful beaches, but there are also lots of California camping lakes that make for perfect family camping destinations. These are some of my faves. The Best California Camping Lakes Lake Tahoe The most popular (and quite possibly the most beautiful) camping lake in California is Lake Tahoe. There are several campgrounds in Lake Tahoe, giving you lots of camping options. We’ve camped at Meeks Bay Resort a handful of times, which…
