Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center
The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is located on the shores of Lake Grapevine, about 30 minutes outside of downtown Dallas. And it’s at the top of my list when it comes to family resorts in Dallas Texas. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the multiple pools here along with the resort’s private 10-acre water park. That’s where you’ll find multiple waterslides, a water playhouse, a 6000-ft lazy river, a hot pool, a toddler’s pool and a giant 10,000-acre outdoor pool.
Besides all the water fun, this massive resort provides live entertainment, has multiple on-site restaurants and bars, a fitness center, a game room and a world-class spa. It also goes all out for the holidays, and has one of the best family-friendly New Years Eve celebrations.

Rooms at this resort are spacious as well, with the option to book 1-bedroom suites that have separate living spaces. This is a big perk when traveling with the kids.
Hilton Anatole – An affordable family resort in Dallas Texas

The Hilton Anatole is another Dallas family resort option with my three favorite things–a lazy river, waterslides and a swim-up bar. And if the 180-ft. waterslides are too big for your littlest kids, fear not–there is a splash and play zone area for the younger kids.
When your family needs to recharge, there are a variety of dining options on site, including a popular steakhouse restaurant. Plus, there’s a Top Golf located on the resort grounds, a huge athletic club and a luxurious spa.
Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa

Located about 30 minutes outside of Dallas in the heart of Frisco, the Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa is a great option for families looking to stay a bit out of the hustle and bustle of the big city. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the option to partake in Top Golf or the 18-hole Fazio golf course at the resort.
Families can enjoy splashing around in the pool or splash pad, taking a ride down the waterslide, or playing some lawn games. There are multiple restaurants on site, as well as a spa and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine – One of the top family resorts in Dallas Texas
