There are plenty of beginner runs, there is plenty to do there besides simply ski or snowboard, and there are lots of hotel and lodge options that allow families the space to spread out. When we recently visited Keystone, we chose to stay in one of the Keystone condos right in the heart of River Run Village so we could take full advantage of the Kids Ski Free program (a major perk when ski trips can get pricey!). When you book lodging directly through Keystone for two or more nights, kids 12 and under ski free with no blackout dates—a huge bonus for families with young skiers.

Not only that, but staying on or near the mountain means you can roll out your door and be on the slopes in minutes—no parking lot shuffle, no long walks in ski boots, just more time enjoying the powder.
