Disneyland Hotels in Walking Distance
The 3 On-site Disney Hotels

It goes without saying that the three Disney Hotels are about as close to the magic as you can get. The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is essentially inside California Adventure and has a private entrance into that park for its guests. Paradise Pier is just on the other side of the Grand Californian and has a separate park entrance for its guests as well. The Disneyland Hotel is located right next to Downtown Disney. You can walk through Downtown Disney to get the park entrance, or you can find the Monorail stop in Downtown Disney and take the Monorail into the park.
Fairfield by Marriott Anaheim Resort

Across the street from Disneyland.
The Fairfield Anaheim Resort is our go-to hotel when we stay at Disneyland. It tends to be a little less expensive than some of the Disneyland hotels in walking distance, and it provides super convenient access to the Disneyland main entrance. There’s also a Panera in the same parking lot and a McDonald’s right next door, making it easy to grab breakfast or a quick meal on the way to the parks.
Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Across the street from Disneyland.
The Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is the neighboring hotel of the Fairfield Anaheim Resort and is just a little further of a walk, however, we love staying here when we plan to have some downtime to hang out at the pool.
Besides the proximity to the park, this is one of the best hotels in walking distance to Disneyland because of its pool area. This is one of the few Disneyland hotels with a waterpark. The pool has waterslides and a play structure, which the kids love. There is also a Starbucks inside the hotel, which makes for an easy breakfast and coffee stop before heading to the parks.
Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground – One of the best hotels walking distance to Disneyland

15-minute walk from Disneyland entrance
Just one more hotel away from Disneyland, and next to the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Hotel, is the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground. As the name states, this hotel also has a fun water play area that is a lot of fun, especially for younger kids. And you can see fireworks and views of the Matterhorn from many of the rooms on the property. The walk to the park takes about 15 minutes from this hotel.
Camelot Inn & Suites

Across the street; 5-minute walk
The Camelot Inn & Suites is one hotel closer to the park entrance than the Fairfield Anaheim Resort. This hotel is across the street from the park and is about a 5-minute walk to the park entrance. The convenience comes with a little bit bigger of a price tag, but we love that some rooms can accommodate up to six guests. This property is the sister property of the neighboring hotel, the Tropicana Inn & Suites.
Tropicana Inn & Suites – One of the best hotels walking distance to Disneyland

Across the street; 7-minute walk.
On the other side of the Camelot Inn & Suites, you’ll find the Tropicana Inn & Suites. This hotel is one of the closest hotels to the Disneyland entrance. It is just across from the park and is a few steps away from the crosswalk to the park entrance. The Cove on Harbor Market & Deli is located on the hotel property, but some rooms actually offer full kitchens.

Closest hotel to Disneyland entrance. Directly across the street.
The Best Western Plus Park Place Inn is the closest hotel to Disneyland entrance. It is located directly across the from the intersection where you cross and enter the park property. This hotel has an indoor pool, a view of the Disneyland fireworks, and a full complimentary breakfast in the mornings.

Del Sol Inn

8-minute walk
Del Sol Inn has a lot going for it. The proximity to the park is amazing, located just across the street and one hotel further than the Anaheim Desert Inn. But even better, this hotel tends to be more reasonable in price than some of its neighbors, and only adds a few extra steps onto your walk. We personally love the rooms that have bunkbeds and sleep up to 7 guests.
Grand Legacy at the Park

7-10 minute walk
The Grand Legacy at the Park is located across the street from Disneyland and is a short 7 to 10-minute walk to the park entrance. You’ll find a variety of rooms here, ranging from traditional hotel rooms to 2 and 3-bedroom suites. Young kids will enjoy the small splash area located near the main pool.

8-minute walk
Unlike some other hotels in the neighborhood, the Anaheim Hotel property feels more lush and spread out rather than just a parking lot motel. There is an Olympic-sized swimming pool here and nine acres of garden space and outdoor seating. Many of the rooms have a balcony or patio, and there is also a pizza parlor on site.
Castle Inn & Suites

10-minute walk
The Castle Inn & Suites hotel is conveniently located across from the park, just on the other side of The Anaheim Hotel. It’s about a 10-min walk to Disneyland from here, and this is one of the few hotels in the area where you can park your car for free while you head to the parks.

Located less than half a mile from the Disneyland Resort, the Candy Cane Inn is an easy walk to the parks. But even better, this hotel really has it all in terms of convenience and is truly one of the best hotels walking distance to Disneyland. It provides free transportation to and from the parks for those preferring not to walk. There’s also free parking at this hotel, along with a free breakfast buffet.

Desert Palms Hotel & Suites

11-minute walk
The Desert Palms Hotel & Suites is one of the further hotels on this list, but is still totally walkable. This hotel is located adjacent to Disneyland, and is an easy 11-minute walk to the park entrance. And a stay here includes free breakfast in the morning as well.
Hotels Across the Street from Disneyland vs. 10–15 Minute Walk
Not all “walking distance” hotels are created equal.
Across the street (best for families):
- 3–7 minute walk
- No transportation needed
- Easy midday breaks with kids
10–15 minute walk hotels:
- Often newer or more affordable
- Larger rooms and better amenities
- Slightly longer (but still manageable) walk
- Some of the further hotels offer free parking (huge perk!) and/ or free breakfast
For example:
- Desert Palms Hotel is about a 10–15 minute walk but offers larger rooms and free breakfast.
👉 For families with younger kids, closer is almost always worth it.
