Pinecrest Resort: A Summer Destination

One of our favorite summer camping destinations is Pinecrest Lake. And even though we love to camp, one thing that’s great about this destination is that the Pinecrest Resort is available for all of our non-camping friends. We always end up with a large group and have the best time.
If you’re interested in camping at Pinecrest Lake, check out the camping information I have for you here. This post will focus specifically on staying under a roof at the Pinecrest Lake Resort and other Pinecrest lodging options.
Pinecrest Resort Lodging
The Pinecrest Resort is a year-round resort that gives you easy lake access in the summer months, and is the closest full-service lodging to the Dodge Ridge Ski Area in the winter months.
You can choose between a variety of different sizes and floorplans for whatever suits your needs. There are motel-style rooms that have two queen-sized beds, a bathroom and shower, cable television and daily maid service.
There are also rustic two and three-bedroom cabins as well as the two and three-bedroom townhouses for those looking for more space.
The Pinecrest Lake cabins sleep 4-6 people depending on the size, and come complete with a full kitchen with appliances and utensils. The living space consists of a couch, chair, table and cable television, and the units include towels and linens.
The Pinecrest townhouses sleep 6-8 people, depending on the size. Each of these units is two stories and has a full bathroom, a full kitchen, propane fireplace, cable television and couch. They also include appliances, utensils, linens and towels.
Lodging prices can be found here, and you can call 209-965-3411 to book a stay.
Pinecrest Resort Amenities

No matter which kind of unit you select, all Pinecrest resort lodging includes high-speed internet. You also have easy access to Pinecrest Lake, the general store, the coffee shop, the Steam Donkey restaurant, and the grocery store, which are all located just in front of the resort main entrance.

The resort also has tennis courts and bike rentals on site, and is just a short walk away from the Pinecrest outdoor movie theater, which plays Hollywood’s latest hits all summer long.
Pinecrest Lake

Pinecrest Lake is great fun in the summer months. It’s one of my favorite California lakes to camp at, and it’s extremely popular for campers and day-use visitors. The Pinecrest marina is just steps away from the Pinecrest cabins and hotel, and offers boat rentals during the summer months. It’s also a popular place to fish, and the lake is stocked with trout all summer long.
For those looking to explore a bit, there is a 4-mile hike that goes around the perimeter of Pinecrest Lake.

Other Nearby Attractions
The Dodge Ridge Ski Area is only four miles away, and is a popular destination during the winter months. The popular Leland Snowplay area is only seven miles away as well.
If the Pinecrest resort is all booked up, you can check out some other popular options here. These rentals are near Pinecrest Lake, but are closer to the Leland Snowplay area. Some have access to a private lake during the warmer months.
