Family Fun in the Entertainment Capital: Best Family Las Vegas Shows

Las Vegas has been a stop for us on several of our family road trips over the past few years. It’s so much fun, and we love showing the kids some of the excitement of the strip. But when it comes to choosing shows, you need to be a little bit careful–some aren’t designed for all ages. Luckily, there are some excellent family Las Vegas shows to choose from. From jaw-dropping magic acts to acrobatics that will leave your kids speechless, these are some great shows in Vegas that are totally kid-friendly—and fun for the grown-ups, too.

And if you need more resources for family trip to Las Vegas, check out this list of the best Vegas hotels for families, along with these Vegas hotels with lazy rivers (my favorite thing!). Plus, here’s a look at some of the best things to do in Vegas with kids.

1. Mac King Comedy Magic Show

Afternoon show (great for younger kids)

Mac King is a classic Vegas performer who delivers a mix of hilarious comedy and impressive magic—all with a down-to-earth, silly vibe that’s perfect for families. Think card tricks, disappearing objects, and even a few goldfish involved. The show is interactive, and kids love that they might get picked to help out on stage!

Why it’s great for families: It’s one of the few shows in town with a matinee time slot, so you can catch some magic before dinner or bedtime.

2. Mystère by Cirque du Soleil – One of the best family Las Vegas shows

Treasure Island
Evening performances, all ages welcome

This show is Cirque du Soleil’s original Las Vegas production, and it’s perfect for all ages. With acrobats flying through the air, quirky clowns, and live music, Mystère is visually stunning and easy to follow, even for younger kids who aren’t into complex storylines.

Pro Tip: Sit a little farther back for the best view of the stunts and aerial acts!

3. Mat Franco – Magic Reinvented Nightly

The LINQ Hotel
Evening show, ages 5 and up recommended

Mat Franco, winner of America’s Got Talent, brings a super fun and modern twist to magic. His show is fast-paced, funny, and full of surprises—and he’s especially great at engaging the crowd. Teens and tweens will love the cool factor, but even younger ones will be wide-eyed at the illusions.

Why parents love it: Clean humor and a fresh vibe make it entertaining for adults, too.

4. Tournament of Kings – One of the more interactive Las Vegas family shows

Dinner show

Looking for a show where the kids can eat with their hands, cheer for knights, and watch real horses gallop around indoors? Tournament of Kings is part medieval jousting show, part dinner theater, and totally fun for all ages. You’ll sit in a big arena-style setting, eat a hearty meal, and cheer on your assigned knight as he battles for glory.

Heads up: There’s no silverware—eating with your hands is part of the fun!

5. Jabbawockeez – One of my personal favorite family Las Vegas shows

MGM Grand
Afternoon & evening shows

This high-energy dance crew (also America’s Best Dance Crew winners!) performs in white masks and delivers a show full of hip-hop, storytelling, and jaw-dropping choreography. It’s a hit with older kids and teens especially, and the music and visuals keep everyone entertained. My kids would see this one again and again. It’s so much fun!

Cool factor: It’s like watching a live music video with comedy mixed in.

6.“O” by Cirque du Soleil

Bellagio Hotel & Casino
Evening performances

If you’re looking for a Cirque du Soleil show with stunning visuals and jaw-dropping acrobatics, “O” is an amazing alternative. This water-themed production takes place in a massive aquatic stage where performers dive, swim, and flip through air and water in a surreal, dream-like world. It doesn’t rely on spoken dialogue, so it’s easy for kids of all ages to follow and enjoy.

Family Tip: While the show is family-friendly, it’s probably best for kids ages 6 and up who can sit through a full-length performance.

7. Piff the Magic Dragon

One of the best magic shows in Las Vegas for families

Flamingo Las Vegas
Evening shows, all ages welcome (best for ages 7+)

Don’t let the dragon costume fool you—Piff the Magic Dragon is a seriously talented magician with a deadpan sense of humor that makes both kids and adults laugh out loud. You might recognize him from America’s Got Talent (he was a finalist), and his little chihuahua sidekick, Mr. Piffles, often steals the show. It’s got that classic Vegas magic feel but with a modern, silly twist.

Why families love it: Piff keeps the magic engaging for kids, but the dry humor flies right over their heads in the best way—so the grown-ups are entertained too.

Tip: The showroom is small, so almost every seat feels up close. Piff often interacts with the crowd, so be ready!

Bonus for Young Families: Popovich Comedy Pet Theater

V Theater at Miracle Mile Shops
Multiple daily shows

If you have little kids, this one is a winner. It’s a circus-style show starring rescue animals—dogs, cats, birds—doing cute tricks alongside juggling and slapstick comedy. It’s wholesome, easy to follow, and super cute.

Fun fact: All the animals in the show were adopted from shelters!

A Few Tips for Seeing Shows with Kids in Vegas:

  • Book tickets in advance—especially for Cirque and dinner shows, which tend to sell out.
  • Check age recommendations—most shows are family-friendly, but a few may have age minimums or late showtimes.
  • Plan dinner around showtimes—many family shows run early, so grab dinner after (or enjoy a dinner show like Tournament of Kings).

Thanks for reading my post. My name is Jaime and I am a mom to three busy children. When we're not at the soccer and football fields, we try to get away as often as possible. I'm a teacher and my husband is a firefighter, so we mostly get away for long weekends or over the school breaks. I hope to inspire busy families to take time to recoup and relax while making memories on camping trips or cruise ships, or at the fancy resort pool--we love it all!
