4th Grade National Parks Pass: Free!

Did you know that there’s such thing as a 4th grade national parks pass that all 4th grade students can get for free? It’s true!
As part of the Every Kid Outdoors initiative, all 4th grade students get a free national park pass that’s good for the entire year–including through the end of summer! The pass is valid through Aug. 31 each year.
How Do I Get My Free Pass?
It’s easy! All you have to do is visit the EveryKidOutdoors website and click a couple of buttons. Then print out the pass. That’s it. It only took me about 20 seconds to get.
How Does it Work?
This pass is good for your 4th grader and up to three more adults and any other children who are traveling with you. All you have to do is show the pass at the pay kiosk. If nobody is there, simply leave it on your dashboard in the car.

If you visit a National Park that charges per person, this pass will admit all children under the age of 16 and up to 3 adults for free. Or, if the National Park you choose charges per car, this pass will admit all children under 16 and all adults in one passenger vehicle. Just note that it will not work for commercial vehicles.
Also, if you lose the 4th grade National Parks Pass, you can just log back into the website and get a new one. They couldn’t make it much easier!
Where Can You Use National Parks Pass?

You can use the free national parks pass at any U.S. National Park. We plan to visit Zion National Park, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and Joshua Tree this year, and it will work at all of them! If we’re lucky enough to visit Yosemite again this year, it will work there too! That saves us so much money.
