An Overview of the Top Luxury Family Resorts in the Caribbean

Planning a family vacation that balances luxury for parents with nonstop fun for kids can feel like a tall order. When my kids were younger, my primary focus was on making sure they had the waterslides or splash pads that would entertain them. Now as they’re getting older, I want to plan vacations where we all feel a bit spoiled while we’re there.

And luckily, the Caribbean makes that easy. From sprawling water parks to private beaches, these resorts take family travel to the next level while still giving you those “pinch me” moments of Caribbean beauty. I’ve written other posts that focus on the most family-friendly resorts in the Caribbean. But this one is for those wanting family amenities coupled with all the luxurious feels.

Here are some of the best luxury family resorts in the Caribbean—places where both kids and parents feel like VIPs.

1. Beaches Turks & Caicos – Turks & Caicos Islands

Grace Bay Beach is famous for a reason—it’s one of the most stunning stretches of sand in the world. At Beaches, families get an all-inclusive dream complete with a pirate-themed water park, a lazy river, Sesame Street character breakfasts, and kids’ clubs for every age group. Parents love the variety of dining (over 20 restaurants!) and included water sports, while kids love the surf simulator and endless activities.

Turks & Caicos is one of the more expensive of the Caribbean Islands, so there are many great luxury options there. Check out other awesome family resorts in Turks & Caicos here.

The crown jewel for kids? Baha Bay, the resort’s 15-acre water park featuring slides, a wave pool, surf simulators, and a lazy river. Families can also check out The Sanctuary for wildlife encounters with sea turtles, stingrays, and flamingos. The Explorers Kids Club keeps younger travelers entertained with arts, crafts, and games, while parents sneak away to the spa, golf course, or one of the resort’s 40+ restaurants.

Baha Mar manages to deliver big thrills for the kids while keeping the luxury dialed way up for adults.

Thanks for reading my post. My name is Jaime and I am a mom to three busy children. When we're not at the soccer and football fields, we try to get away as often as possible. I'm a teacher and my husband is a firefighter, so we mostly get away for long weekends or over the school breaks. I hope to inspire busy families to take time to recoup and relax while making memories on camping trips or cruise ships, or at the fancy resort pool--we love it all!
