Vegas Hotels With Lazy River

Image from MandalayBay.com

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a post about hotel pools. And since I just spent the last couple of days soaking up the rays in Las Vegas, I felt like it was time to acknowledge the excellent resort pools in Las Vegas. Whether you’re looking into taking the kids to Vegas or you’re heading out for an adults-only trip, a lazy river in Vegas is a great way to beat the desert heat. Unfortunately, there are only a few Vegas hotels with lazy river still remaining. Here’s where you can find them.

And side note: If you are bringing the kids to Vegas, check out the best things to do in Vegas with kids along with these top family shows in Las Vegas.

There are two Las Vegas hotels with lazy river that are located on the strip and one that is located just south of the strip.

Vegas Hotels With Lazy River On The Strip

The Mandalay Resort and Casino has one of the largest and most popular pool complexes on the Vegas strip. This hotel is actually on my list of kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas, however you don’t need to be a kid to enjoy the lazy river and wave pool at this Vegas resort.

Besides having a lazy river, the Mandalay Bay also has an 11-acre pool area that’s complete with a wave pool, sandy beach area and multiple pools.

2. MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is the other Vegas hotel with lazy river that you’ll find on the strip. This lazy river is one of the longest in Vegas, and is the perfect spot to relax and cool off in the hot Vegas sunshine. The Grand Pool Complex also features several pools and whirlpools as well.

Note: The Park MGM hotel is located where the former Monte Carlo hotel was located. While the Monte Carlo hotel did in fact have a lazy river, the Park MGM got rid of it (how dare they!) when they did renovations. So don’t book Park MGM thinking it’s a Vegas hotel with lazy river.

Vegas Hotels With Lazy River Off the Strip

1. Tahiti Village Resort & Spa

If you’re looking for a more relaxed (and family-friendly) vibe than the Vegas strip offers, the Tahiti Village Resort & Spa is where you will find it. This lazy river is 1/8th of a mile long, traveling through tropical landscapes and waterfalls.

You’ll also find a sandy beach area at this resort, a lagoon-style pool, and two whirlpool spas–one for families and one that is adults-only. This resort tends to be much less crowded than the hotels on the strip, and you’ll even find good deals on food and drinks here.

Las Vegas Hotels With Fun Pools

The following hotels don’t have a lazy river, but they do have a pool that is worth noting.

The Golden Nugget

The Golden Nugget is where you will find a thrilling waterslide that transports riders through a transparent tube while surrounded by a 200,000-gallon shark tank. The pool area also consists of waterfalls and a more relaxing pool area.

Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino

Located on Freemont St. in Las Vegas, this adults-only hotel has an impressive multi-level pool complex with great energy and a fun vibe. You’ll find six heated pools across three different levels, and they are open year-round. The 143-foot LED screen broadcasts live sporting events and entertainment and is visible from every pool.

Thanks for reading my post. My name is Jaime and I am a mom to three busy children. When we're not at the soccer and football fields, we try to get away as often as possible. I'm a teacher and my husband is a firefighter, so we mostly get away for long weekends or over the school breaks. I hope to inspire busy families to take time to recoup and relax while making memories on camping trips or cruise ships, or at the fancy resort pool--we love it all!
