Family Resorts in Dallas Texas
We love heading to Texas for our family vacations. That state has something for everyone, and there is no shortage of awesome family resorts in Texas. Dallas is no exception. And there’s so much to see and do there. On our most recent trip to Dallas, we spent a lot of time exploring the nearby town of Arlington. It’s a great spot to check out if you’re staying in the area. There are tons of fun things to do there, and it’s not far from these amazing family resorts in Dallas Texas.

Whether you’re looking to explore museums, catch a sporting event or explore some nearby trails, your kids will love returning to one of these fun Dallas family resorts. Heck, they might not want to leave. These resorts have awesome pool areas, a plethora of family-friendly amenities, spacious rooms and more. Any of them would make an excellent choice for your next Dallas family vacation.
If you visit during the fall, make sure to add the Dallas Arboretum to your itinerary. The pumpkin village there is amazing. In fact, it’s one of the best pumpkin patches in the U.S.

Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is located on the shores of Lake Grapevine, about 30 minutes outside of downtown Dallas. And it’s at the top of my list when it comes to family resorts in Dallas Texas. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the multiple pools here along with the resort’s private 10-acre water park. That’s where you’ll find multiple waterslides, a water playhouse, a 6000-ft lazy river, a hot pool, a toddler’s pool and a giant 10,000-acre outdoor pool.
Besides all the water fun, this massive resort provides live entertainment, has multiple on-site restaurants and bars, a fitness center, a game room and a world-class spa. It also goes all out for the holidays, and has one of the best family-friendly New Years Eve celebrations.
Ritz Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas

The Ritz Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas will please more than just your kids–there’s something for the whole family at this luxury resort. Golf enthusiasts will love the opportunity to golf at either of the 18-hole championship golf courses at this resort. Plus, there are multiple pools, a 2-story sports facility, several restaurants and a full-service spa on site.
Rooms at this resort are spacious as well, with the option to book 1-bedroom suites that have separate living spaces. This is a big perk when traveling with the kids.
Hilton Anatole – An affordable family resort in Dallas Texas

The Hilton Anatole is another Dallas family resort option with my three favorite things–a lazy river, waterslides and a swim-up bar. And if the 180-ft. waterslides are too big for your littlest kids, fear not–there is a splash and play zone area for the younger kids.
When your family needs to recharge, there are a variety of dining options on site, including a popular steakhouse restaurant. Plus, there’s a Top Golf located on the resort grounds, a huge athletic club and a luxurious spa.
Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa

Located about 30 minutes outside of Dallas in the heart of Frisco, the Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa is a great option for families looking to stay a bit out of the hustle and bustle of the big city. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the option to partake in Top Golf or the 18-hole Fazio golf course at the resort.
Families can enjoy splashing around in the pool or splash pad, taking a ride down the waterslide, or playing some lawn games. There are multiple restaurants on site, as well as a spa and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine – One of the top family resorts in Dallas Texas

It goes without saying that the Great Wolf Lodge Grapevine is one of the best family resorts in Dallas Texas. Or just outside of Dallas, rather, in Grapevine, TX. This Great Wolf Lodge boasts an 80,000-sq.-ft. indoor waterpark packed with various waterslides, obstacle courses, play structures, a lazy river and so much more.
Besides the waterpark, this Great Wolf Lodge also boasts other family-fun attractions, such as scavenger hunts, a ropes course, The Grounds by Top Golf Swing Suite, mining, arcades and more. There is no chance your kids will be bored here. And with several on-site restaurants and a fitness center, you’ll never need to leave.
Omni PGA Resort Frisco-Dallas

If waterslides and lazy rivers aren’t your thing, you might be intrigued by one of the more upscale family resorts in Dallas Texas–the Omni PGA Resort Frisco-Dallas. It provides a serene setting for families to unwind and relax at. Spend our time at one of the four sparkling pools, including one rooftop infinity pool for adults only, plus a splash pad. And golfers will love teeing off at one of the two championship golf courses.
This resort has 13 restaurants and lounges to choose from. Plus various recreational activities, a fitness center and a high-end spa. And everyone will be comfortable in the luxurious guest rooms–complete with individual climate control options and beautiful resort views.
