Christmas at the Princess Hotel Scottsdale

Christmas at the Princess Hotel Scottsdale

Christmas is a magical time, and I love finding events that the whole family will love. That’s why I love Christmas at the Princess Hotel Scottsdale. This is one of the most fun hotels for kids and is a great place to stay on your Arizona family vacation no matter what time of year you visit. But Christmastime is especially magical at the Scottsdale Princess resort.

If ice skating in the desert, roasting marshmallows on an open fire, photos with Santa and 7.5 million lights doesn’t get you in the Christmas spirit, I don’t know what will. But that’s just a glimpse of what Christmas at the Fairmont Princess Scottsdale looks like. Here’s a complete overview of what to expect.

What to Know Ahead of Time

Christmas at the Princess Hotel Scottsdale is a ticketed event, meaning you can go to it even if you are not staying at the resort. However, if you are staying at the resort, you don’t need to purchase any general admission tickets, plus you get VIP Express passes to skip the lines. If you choose to stay outside of the resort, be sure to check out my other favorite Scottsdale family resorts to stay in.

How Much Does Christmas at the Princess Hotel Scottsdale Cost?

In 2023, tickets to the Fairmont Scottsdale Christmas event cost $35 per person over the age of 3. Ages 3 and under are free. If you’re familiar with the Fairmont Princess, you might have expected that number to be significantly higher–I know I did.

That general admission costs covers plenty of fun to keep you busy, but there are some things you’d need to pay extra for. Also, note that when you book online, there is a $5 fee on each thing you purchase. So really, it’s $40 per person to get in.

General Admission Includes Access To:

  • Twinkle Town: Saddle Up Ride, Train Station Ride, Alpine Slide Ride, Lolli Swings Ride, Deck the Halls Ride
  • The Village: The Chair Lift Ferris Wheel, Polar Putt Putt, Snow Mountain Real Ice Slide
  • Complimentary Fire Pits at S’mores Land, Twinkle Town and Winterland
  • Lagoon Lights
  • Princess Express Trains
  • Enchanted Plaza Shows
  • A Christmas Wish
  • Letters to Santa
  • 50+ Photo ops
  • Narrated Nativity Show

Thanks for reading my post. My name is Jaime and I am a mom to three busy children. When we're not at the soccer and football fields, we try to get away as often as possible. I'm a teacher and my husband is a firefighter, so we mostly get away for long weekends or over the school breaks. I hope to inspire busy families to take time to recoup and relax while making memories on camping trips or cruise ships, or at the fancy resort pool--we love it all!
