If you know me at all by now, you know that I love a good hotel pool. You might also know that I love turning any occasion into a vacation. Disneyland is no exception, even if I only plan to go for a day. I mean, if I’m going to spend a fortune to go to Disneyland or California Adventure, I might as well book a hotel and make a mini vacay out of it. That’s why I love the hotels near Disneyland with waterpark pools.

There are so many hotel options near Disneyland and California Adventure, and some have perks like walkability to the parks or free parking. I definitely take these factors into account when booking a hotel. But I also want to take a look at the pool if I plan to spend any extra time enjoying the amenities at the hotel. These are my favorite hotels near Disneyland with waterpark-like pools.

Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance – Our favorite of the hotels near Disneyland with waterpark

This hotel is great for two reasons. One, it is one of the hotels that is walkable to Disneyland. It’s an easy 10-min. walk from here to the park entrance. Two, the kids have a blast enjoying the on-site waterpark complete with waterslides and water playgrounds. There’s also a pool and a large hot tub. It’s one of my favorite Marriott hotels to redeem free night rewards at–to help offset the cost of the entire Disneyland trip.

Parking at the Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance is valet only and currently costs $35. When we stayed here, we were lucky to get a park view and we could see the Disneyland fireworks at night. Added bonus! We also enjoyed the bunkbeds in the room and the on-site bistro that serves Starbucks coffee.

Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort

The Cambria Hotel & Suites is about a mile from Disneyland, but your kids will love the 30,000 sq. ft. waterpark, which features two waterslides and a splash pad in addition to a large pool and a kids pool. You’ll also be able to enjoy a jacuzzi, a movie wall, multiple fire pits and an outdoor bar.

Unlike the others listed in this blog, this is also one of the hotels near Disneyland that has free breakfast, which is definitely a nice perk before heading to Disneyland for the day. You’ll pay to park at the hotel (current rate is $30), and there is no shuttle service to the parks. This hotel is walkable if you’re up for it, but it is close to a mile to the park entrance, and will take about 15-20 minutes to make the trek.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground – One of the hotels near Disneyland with water park

The waterpark at the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel is a blast for the younger kids. It features a large water playground with some smaller waterslides. There’s also a wading pool with beach entry, a large swimming pool and a hot tub. It will cost to park here (current rate is $25), but it is close enough to walk to the park, so you won’t have to pay twice. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the main park entrance. Like the Marriott Courtyard, you can also request a room with a Disneyland park view, and then enjoy fireworks from your balcony. Bunk beds are also available here.

The Disneyland Hotel, The Grand Californian and Paradise Pier

In full disclosure, I have never stayed at any of the Disneyland property hotels (yet). I’ve eaten in some of their restaurants, and enjoyed peeking at the pools, but that’s as close as I’ve gotten. But if I’m going to write about the best hotels near Disneyland with waterpark pools though, all three of these hotels deserve a mention.

Obviously, they are all in close proximity to the park, making them a walkable option. You’ll pay $35 (current price) to park at any of these hotels, but you can easily access the parks on foot. You can also enjoy extra perks like early access to the parks. Staying in these hotels will likely cost a premium price in comparison to the aforementioned hotels above.

The Disneyland Hotel has two beautiful pools with luxurious cabanas and fun, monorail-themed waterslides. You’ll also find two spas and a water play area here.

The Paradise Pier Hotel has a fun roof-top pool, along with a large, curvy waterslide and a hot tub as well. At time of writing (April 2023), the pools onsite are closed, but transportation is being provided to the Disneyland Hotel for use of their pools.

The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa features three sparkling pools, one Mickey-shaped children’s pool, and a 90-ft. waterslide. There are also a couple of hot tubs on site, and cabanas you can reserve.
