Cabo San Lucas is one of my favorite family vacation destinations. And, it’s one of the best vacation destinations in all of Mexico. Warm weather, beautiful beaches and tons of all-inclusive resort options are just a few things that make it so popular. Plus, Cabo San Lucas offers a variety of family-friendly activities. If you’re planning a trip with the whole family, these are some of my favorite things to do in Cabo for families.

One of my favorite things to do in Cabo for families is simply to relax. My kids love playing in the sand or spending lots of time in the pool. If your family is the same, don’t feel pressured to book too many things to do away from the hotel. Especially if you’re staying at an all-inclusive resort. Many of those have tons of organized activities that the whole family will enjoy.

Below, you will find my favorite things to do in Cabo for families. Some of the age requirements vary depending on the outing, but there’s plenty to choose from no matter what ages your children are.

Things to do in Cabo for Families:Outdoor Adventures

1. Lover’s Beach (Playa del Amor): A picturesque spot accessible by water taxi, ideal for swimming and relaxing with kids.
2. El Arco: Take a boat tour to see the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Some tours include snorkeling and glass-bottom boats.
3. Whale Watching (Dec-Apr): Depending on the time of year you go, Cabo is a great spot to watch the migrating whales.
4. Snorkeling at Chileno Bay: Calm waters make it perfect for families.
5. Extreme Sports: Check out various tours that offer zip-lining, bungee jumping, camel rides, and off-road adventures for older kids.
6. Parasailing: Parasailing is a fun thing to do for the family. And even if someone doesn’t want to go up, they can often enjoy the boat ride and cheer on from below.

• 7. San José del Cabo Art Walk: A quieter town with galleries and local culture, great for evening strolls.
• 8. Flora Farms: A family-friendly farm-to-table restaurant with a playground and cooking classes for kids.

• 10. Turtle Releases (Seasonal): Help baby sea turtles make their way to the ocean. There are a variety of turtle release experiences to choose from.

• 11. Medano Beach: A safe beach with shallow waters, ideal for families.
• 12. Resort Activities: Many family-friendly resorts in Cabo offer kids’ clubs, pools, and activities. If the one you are staying in doesn’t offer much, you can purchase day passes to many of the beachfront resorts and enjoy all of their amenities.
