Family-Friendly Tahiti Village: Your Vegas Oasis

Las Vegas is a great destination for drinking, partying and gambling. But, it can also be a great family destination. In fact, Las Vegas is home to many youth cheer competitions and sports tournaments. And it makes for a great stopping point on longer road trips. I’ve been to Vegas several times, with and without kids. I definitely enjoy staying on the strip when I am without kids, but The Tahiti Village-Las Vegas, located just south of the strip, is one of my favorite Las Vegas resorts for kids.

Pools at Tahiti Village-Las Vegas
If you’ve read some of my other blog posts, it’s probably pretty obvious that I love a good lazy river. And the Tahiti Village has one! In fact, it’s one of only three Las Vegas hotels with a lazy river. It also has a large, lagoon-style pool with sand entry and two jacuzzis–one for families and one for just the adults.
You’ll also find two bars in the pool area, serving up your favorite cocktails to enjoy as you float around the lazy river. In comparison, the drinks here seem to be much cheaper than what they’d charge on the strip.

Spacious Rooms & On-site Restaurants
Besides the beautiful pool and lazy river, I also love how spacious the rooms are at the Tahiti Village. We stayed in a two bedroom room, which had a king bed in each of the bedrooms, plus two living spaces, each with a sofa sleeper. The bathroom was huge as well. These rooms would for sure work for two families to share!
The rooms come equipped with a kitchenette or a full-sized kitchen as well. Not wanting to cook? There’s an on-site pizza parlor in the lobby and a Denny’s just outside the main lobby. But, you also have easy access to the entire strip with the free shuttle service.

Free Shuttle to The Strip
The Tahiti Village-Las Vegas has a complimentary shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up from various points on the strip. So you can easily head to your favorite restaurant or check out some of the top activities for kids in Las Vegas. Sometimes it’s nice to be a bit removed from the craziness of the strip when doing Vegas with kids, but having easy access to and from is definitely a nice perk.

If you don’t want to venture over to the strip, you can still find enough to do at the resort itself. Besides the pool, kids can also enjoy the arcade, and the adults can unwind with a massage at the spa. There are also various events each week, including luaus, yoga, mermaid encounters and more.
